Rustoration® is our most aggressive rust control service. It is designed for vehicles with moderate to heavy rust and requires more than a standard undercoating to be effective. Instead of simply coating over rust, this process focuses on cleaning, stabilizing, and converting existing corrosion before protective oils are applied. This approach gives older vehicles or neglected undercarriages the best possible foundation for long-term protection moving forward.

Rustoration® Service Process

Vehicle Intake and Salt Removal
• Your vehicle is brought into our shop and treated with our Salt Brine Eliminator wash.
• This removes salt, liquid deicing chemicals, and sticky residues that accelerate corrosion.

Frame Inspection and Internal Cleaning

• We use an inspection camera to examine the inside of your frame rails and body cavities.
• The frame is then flushed with high pressure hot water to remove dirt, dust, and contaminants.
• This step is critical because rust often begins inside the frame and cavities where moisture and debris collect.
• Cleaning these areas allows our protective oils to reach the metal and work effectively.

Mechanical Rust Removal
–
• Our technicians spend approximately two hours mechanically removing loose, flaky, heavy rust.
• We use tools such as bristle wheels, needle guns, or other mechanical methods.
• The goal is to remove unstable rust and bring the surface down to solid rust or surface rust so it becomes a stable base for treatment.

Rust Conversion Treatment

• We apply two coats of our proprietary Rustoration® rust converter.
• This formula was developed in our in house lab and refined through experience on more than 4,000 vehicles serviced each year.
• Rustoration® chemically converts existing rust into a stable protective layer while preparing the surface for long term protection.

Protective Undercoating Application
–
• After conversion is complete, we apply our Signature Oil Undercoating (Back in Black) to the exterior undercarriage.
• We then treat the inner cavities and frame with our clear peppermint-infused oil, which is engineered to creep up to 12 inches into seams and tight areas to stop moisture and oxygen from reaching the metal.

Ongoing Protection Plan

• Annual maintenance treatments are included as part of this protection plan.
• As long as the vehicle continues its yearly maintenance service, we guarantee that rust will not return to treated areas.
• If rust does reappear, we will retreat the affected areas at no charge for the life of the vehicle.
• This warranty is transferable with the vehicle.
